Kumho Tyres Limited Road Hazard warranty

 

Sometimes we run our perfectly brand new tires into potholes or over sharp, menacing objects that are littered on the road, the tyre get damaged beyond repair and there is no one whom you could blame except to fork out with more money to replace a new trye. But with the Kumho Tyres Limited Road Hazard warranty, you can now enjoy the additional security. Say goodbye to the frustration and you will no longer have to pay the full price of a new tire in order to replace your damaged one.

 

The Policy
The Kumho Tyre Limited Road Hazard Warranty is extended by Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. and is applicable to all original purchasers who purchased Kumho PCR tyres from Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. authorised dealers and use them only in Hong Kong.

 

Terms and Conditions:

1.  Protection period
     The Kumho tyre limited road hazard warranty is valid for a period of 12mths from date of purchase of tyre or up to 50% of tread       wear whichever comes first.

 

2. Registration Method
    Step 1: Customers must keep the tire purchase invoice or receipt and must complete the registration within 14 days from the            date of purchase. 
    Step 2: Choose one of the following methods to register:
               A)  Register online: https://www.kumhotyres.com.hk/
               B)  Register via WhatsApp to 6990 3355 (Office hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM;
                                                                                                       Saturday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM)
    Step 3: After successful registration, the customer will receive an insurance number. When the customer needs to make a claim,        they must present this insurance number.

 

3.  Warranty Coverage
     A) Accidental damages - Cuts, Run flat, Impact break including Sidewall Bulge
     B) Non - repairable damage on tread or sidewall
     C) Only a single claim is allowed for each tire.

 

4.  Warranty Exclusions
     A) Intentional damages
     B) Mounting/demounting damages
     C) Repairable damages
     D) Un-even wear caused due to mechanical irregularities
     E) Damage caused due to poor vehicle conditions, inflation pressure, alignment, mechanical problems
     F) Nail holes and other repairable minor damages

 

5.  Claim submission
     To expedite the tire claim settlement process, please have the following ready before submitting your claim:
     A) The original Purchase Invoice of the tire
     B) The Limited Road Hazard Warranty Registration Number
     Submission steps :
         5. 1)  The customer who is making the claim must first call up Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. Customer Service Hot Line to report                        the incident.
         5. 2)  They then go back to the shop where they purchased the tyre to get it replaced.
         5. 3)  Present the purchase invoice and the maintenance number.
         5. 4)  The dealer will conduct an initial assessment to determine if the tire falls within the maintenance scope.
         5. 5)  Once it is determined to be within the maintenance scope, the dealer will replace the tire with a new one for the                                customer.
         5. 6)  Customer is required to pay the full amount for the replacement tyre.
         5. 7)  The dealer notified Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd.
         5. 8)  The damage tyre will be collected and inspected by Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. Technical Engineer within 7 working days.
         5. 9)  Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. customer service will inform customer if the claim tyre is adjustable        within 10 working                            days.
         5.10)  If the tyre meets the criteria of the warranty, the customer will receive compensation.
                   The compensation amount will be provided based on the proportion of the remaining tread depth when the tire is                           damaged. 
                   The calculation formula for the compensation is as follows:
                   Refund to customer = Value of tyre x (Remaining tread depth / original tread depth)
      However other expenses such as mounting, demounting, balancing and alignments expenses may be borne by customer.

 

6.  Disclaimer
        A) Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. will not be liable for any promise, commitment or agreements made by its dealers, employees or                 representative over and above the specified policy.
        B) This specific warranty policy only applies to the warranty product and in compliance with the warranty terms, any other                     tires or car accessories will not be considered.
        C) Warranty does not provide compensation for any direct or indirect losses, damages to the vehicle or person due to tyre                     failure

 

7.  Amendments
        Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. reserves the right to modify, change, withdraw or cancel the entire “Kumho limited Road Hazard                Warranty” without prior notice

 

8.  Arbitration
        The Terms & Conditions of Kumho Limited Road Hazard Warranty is governed by the Law in force in Hong Kong. In case of              any dispute arising between the customer and Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. with regards to the claim adjustments or disputes, all            arbitrations will fall in the jurisdiction of Hong Kong Court.

 

*** In the event of discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions of the Terms and Conditions for Warranty Service, the English version shall prevail. Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. reserves the right of final decision.
