Kumho Tyres Limited Road Hazard warranty

 

Introduction
The Kumho Tyres Limited Road Hazard warranty applies to all KUMHO passenger vehicle tyres purchased from authorized dealers of Stamford Tyres (HK) Limited. 

Terms and Conditions

1. Protection Period and Requirements:

Valid for 180 days from the date of tyre purchase.

KUMHO authorized tyres come with a 180-day protection plan sticker. Please retain this sticker for warranty validation.

Registration must be completed within 14 days of purchase. Submissions made after this period will not be accepted.

Not applicable to commercial vehicles (e.g., light trucks, taxis).

2.  Scope of Coverage:

A) Accidental damage such as cuts or punctures that render the tyre non-repairable.

B) Damage from unintentional impacts, resulting in blowouts or bulges.

C) Any other non-repairable damage.

3. Exclusions:

A) Intentional damage.

B) Damage during installation or removal.

C) Repairable punctures and other minor damage.

 

4. Compensation Method:

A) Each Tyre may only receive compensation once.

B) Compensation will be for a Tyre of the same specification and tread pattern as originally purchased.

C) If the selected Tyre has been discontinued or is otherwise unavailable, a corresponding product will be provided as a substitute.

5. Registration Method:

A) Online registration: https://www.kumhotyres.com.hk.

B) Register via WhatsApp at 6990 3355 during office hours: 

Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Saturday: 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM (excludes public holidays).

C) Successful registration will provide a protection number necessary for claiming.

 

6. Claims Process:

Please WhatsApp our customer service at 6990 3355 with your protection number, photos of the damaged areas, and the tyre's DOT number.

 

If necessary, you may replace the damaged tyre with a spare. For a permanent replacement, please await our assessment. 
  ** The dealer must check if the damage is beyond repair.
  ** If you replace the Tyre independently, do not discard the damaged Tyre, as disposing of it will void your protection eligibility.

 

We will assess your claim and respond within one business day. Please note that claims submitted on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

 

Upon approval, you may proceed with the tyre replacement at an authorized dealer. Please note that installation fees are your responsibility.

7. Disclaimer:

A) Stamford Tyres (HK) Limited will not be liable for promises, commitments, or agreements made beyond the specific terms outlined above by any dealer, employee, or representative.

B) This specific protection policy applies only to qualifying products and adheres to the protection terms; no other Tyres or automotive parts are covered.

C) No compensation will be provided for any direct or indirect damage resulting from Tyre failure leading to vehicle or personal injury.

D) Stamford Tyres (HK) Limited reserves the right to modify, change, withdraw, or cancel the "KUMHO Tyres Limited Road Hazard warranty" without prior notice.

 

In case of any discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail. Stamford Tyres (HK) Limited retains final decision rights.
